McCormick is a tractor brand revived in 2001 by the Italian Argo Group after Case IH gave up its plant in Doncaster, England, following the merger with New Holland; Argo took over the site and the historic McCormick name, which goes back to the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company. The MTX range is the new brand's big, six-cylinder line: the number after MTX gives the power class in hp, from the MTX 120 to the MTX 200, with the MTX 135 and MTX 150 each appearing in two variants in the register. All versions run six-cylinder diesel engines of around 6 litres.

With the MTX range McCormick occupies the upper class, competing there with the Case IH Magnum, New Holland T7/T8, Deutz-Fahr Agrotron and Fendt; as a smaller, independent brand McCormick remains a niche supplier in this segment alongside the large groups.
On used MTX tractors, operating hours, turbocharger and intercooler condition, the transmission's powershift steps, hydraulic output and PTO for the heavy implements of this class, and rust on cab and mudguards count; parts run through the McCormick and Argo Tractors network.
