Manitou MLT 741

The register lists 33 live models, from the MLT 630-105 to the MLT 1040 L-137 PS, built between 2010 and 2021. Output ranges from 74.4 to 129 kW, weight from 6,530 to 9,175 kg, displacement from 3,600 to 4,571 cm3, all with four-cylinder engines, and lift capacity from 3,700 to 4,100 kg.

Model names combine lift height or capacity with engine output in metric horsepower, so the intended use and power class can be read directly off the type plate.

On farms, the MLT range often replaces both a yard loader and a front loader with a single machine, and it ranks among Europe's best-selling telehandlers.

Like many agricultural telehandlers, the MLT range pairs the front boom with rear hydraulics including a three-point hitch and PTO, so conventional mounted implements such as mowers or rotary rakes can also be attached. Axle oscillation and four-wheel steering with several steering modes (four-wheel steer, crab steer, front-wheel steer) ease manoeuvring in tight yards. On a used telehandler, wear of the boom bearings and bushings, the tightness of the lift cylinders, brake condition given the high unladen weight, and the function of the steering modes matter most; parts run through Manitou's dealer network.
