Lamborghini AGILE Series – compact all-purpose tractors from Pieve di Cento, AGILE 660 to 990, three- and four-cylinder engines from 3.0 to 4.0 litres, 44 to 65 kW at 2,350 rpm

Lamborghini Trattori built the AGILE Series at its Pieve di Cento plant as compact all-purpose tractors; the type numbers 660, 770, 880 and 990 denote four power steps, each in S and DT versions for two- and four-wheel drive. The smaller models run three-cylinder engines, the larger ones four-cylinders, all at a rated speed of 2,350 rpm. Ferruccio Lamborghini handed the tractor division to SAME in 1972, which carried on production at Pieve di Cento and still manufactures Lamborghini tractors there today.

The register lists here 4 versions with 44.1 to 64.7 kW from three- and four-cylinder engines displacing 3,000 to 4,000 cc. Unladen weights range from 2,220 to 2,740 kg. Width and height are the same across all models at 1,290 mm and 2,110 mm, length falls between 2,970 and 3,100 mm.

With more compact dimensions than the F-PLUS Series, the AGILE Series targeted operations with tight yard and barn conditions as well as orchard and vineyard work, where manoeuvrability mattered more than raw drawbar pull. Like the sister brands of the SDF Group, Lamborghini uses shared engines, transmissions and axles, while keeping its own look for the cab and body.

When buying used, check the hours and service history of the three- or four-cylinder, the condition of clutch and gearbox, the tightness of the hydraulics, and wear on the steering and front axle on DT versions. Parts run through the SDF Group dealer network. as well as the brakes and the suspension of the compact body.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
