Isuzu buses are widespread chiefly in Japan and Southeast Asia, where the Erga and Gala are a familiar sight as city and intercity buses, while older ranges such as the Cubic and Super Cruiser have largely been replaced by the J-Bus successors; outside Asia, Isuzu buses are rarer and mostly found as re-imports or in former areas of Japanese influence.
On a used Isuzu bus, operating hours and the maintenance history of the diesel engine, the condition of the transmission and braking system, rust on the floor structure and door mechanism of city buses, and the condition of the interior fittings and air conditioning on coaches count; parts run through Isuzu and, on the J-Bus models, partly through the Hino network as well.
