The Ford Cargo is the medium-heavy to heavy truck range introduced by Ford in 1981, built initially in Langley, Britain, and later at Ford Otosan in Turkey, where it is still produced today for the European and non-European markets. The type designation follows a numeric key: the first two digits roughly give the weight class in tonnes, the following two the engine power in steps of ten hp – CARGO 0813 being around eight tonnes and about 130 hp – and the trailing letter-and-number code (such as C2CA, D1DA) denotes the chassis and cab variant.
