TPS at Fliegl stands for tandem platform trailer: unlike the semi-trailers of the SZS line, this is a trailer with its own drawbar and two closely spaced axles (tandem axle), towed behind a lorry. Model designations such as TPS 100, TPS 140 or TPS 270 follow rising weight with rising number, and like the SZS line they are built at Fliegl Agrartechnik in Mühldorf am Inn.

The flat platform without fixed sides allows loading from the side and rear with pallets, building materials or machinery.
On a used platform trailer, the condition of the load floor, stakes and lashing points, the drawbar and jockey wheel, and the overrun brake system all matter. The axles and suspension should be checked for play, and the date of the last roadworthiness inspection belongs in the check, along with, for frequently changing loads, the condition of the lighting system and electrical connectors.
