The Scudo is Fiat's contribution to the mid-size van built jointly with PSA (Citroën, Peugeot) at the Sevel Nord plant in Valenciennes-Hordain in northern France, whose first generation launched in 1995. The Citroën Jumpy and Peugeot Expert are identical under the skin; the brands differ mainly in the front end and trim. Model designations combine payload class (K for short, L for long), roof height (H1, H2) and engine, such as 1.6 or 2.0 Multijet (MJ), initially with JTD turbodiesel units and later Multijet common-rail technology.
