The TEA is the British petrol version of the Ferguson TE-20, the "Little Grey Fergie", built from 1946 at the Banner Lane plant in Coventry. The TE prefix stands for "Tractor, England" and distinguishes examples built there from the US-built TO version; the A in TEA marks the petrol carburettor engine against the TVO version TED and the diesel version TEF. Harry Ferguson's three-point hydraulics with automatic draft control, introduced on this model, became the world standard in tractor design and made the TE-20 one of the most influential tractors in history. It was built until 1956, after which the merger with Massey-Harris into Massey Ferguson took over the successor models.
