The 700 Vario is Fendt's centrepiece: the six-cylinder range between 115 and 240 hp that has been built in Marktoberdorf since 1998 and is regarded as the brand's best-selling tractor – the model with which the stepless Vario transmission became standard in the mid-range. The type logic: 7 marks the series, the last two digits the power step – 712 about 120 hp, 716 160 hp, 720 200 hp, 724 about 240 hp – Vario the stepless transmission Fendt had presented in the 926 in 1995, Profi and Profi Plus the equipment lines. The generations: 711 to 716 of 1998, 712 to 818 of the 2006 upgrade, 714 to 724 of the SCR generation of 2011 with AdBlue exhaust aftertreatment and 240 hp at the top, which the register entries with diesel and AdBlue show; from 2020 Generation 7 followed with 720 to 728 and AGCO Power engines. The engine of the models recorded here is the Deutz six-cylinder of 6.06 litres at 2,100 rpm, whose power is distributed over the steps through the injection.
