Draco is a Dutch family business from Sneek in Friesland specialising in custom-built trailers and semi-trailers – the name stands for Douwe Rijpkema Aanhangwagens Carrosserieën Onderneming. Grown out of a blacksmith's shop founded in 1885, the Rijpkema family took over the Rijpkema Douma wagon works in the early 1950s and built it into today's vehicle plant, which alongside series semi-trailers also produces special builds such as yacht transporters, ballast vehicles and extendable semi-trailers. The DXS range bundles semi-trailer chassis in various axle and weight classes.
