The Ram (badged Dodge Ram until the 2000s, and simply Dodge Truck in older model years) is Chrysler's answer to the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, built since 1981 across several generations; in 2010 Ram became a standalone brand within the Chrysler group, now Stellantis. The 1500 series number marks the lightest of the three US pickup classes (1500/2500/3500); the register also lists older designations such as RAM 100 and RAM 150 alongside it.
