From 2010 Ram was spun off as an independent brand from Dodge, which is why newer heavy pickups are now listed separately rather than under Dodge.

When buying used, check frame and cab corrosion on the older D/W models, injection pump and turbocharger condition on diesel engines (including early Cummins units), the transfer case and front-axle joints on four-wheel-drive versions, and, on the Dodge Sprinter, the corrosion hotspots typical of the Freightliner Sprinter around the sliding door and load floor; parts run through Stellantis/Ram depending on model, partly through independent classic-vehicle suppliers.
