The register lists 40 versions here with 212 to 375 kW, all with six-cylinder engines of 10,837 to 12,902 cm³, kerb weights of 10,031 to 41,750 kg, gross vehicle weights of 32,200 to 50,000 kg, lengths of 8,030 to 11,790 mm and widths of 2,480 to 2,600 mm.

Alongside Mercedes-Benz, Scania, Volvo, MAN and Iveco, DAF ranks among the major European heavy-truck makers and has traditionally been especially strong in the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom. As part of PACCAR it shares engine and platform technology with Kenworth and Peterbilt in North America, yet remains a distinct European brand in appearance and sales for long-haul, distribution and construction-site vehicles.

When buying used, the PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines should be checked for oil consumption, turbocharger condition and the AdBlue/SCR system, along with the condition and shift behaviour of the automated ZF AS-Tronic gearbox. The frame and cab mounts should be inspected for corrosion and cracks, as should the brakes, axles and air suspension relative to mileage. DAF supplies spare parts through a dense dealer network across Europe, which eases servicing and repair even for older 85 and CF models.
