The Steyr CVT is the tractor with which the Austrian maker from St. Valentin brought the stepless transmission into the CNH group family: in 1999 Steyr presented the first CVT, whose S-Control transmission afterwards ran as CVX at Case IH and Auto Command at New Holland; the third generation of 2011 is the 6140 to 6210 range with the FPT engines to emission stage IIIB. The type logic: CVT marks the stepless transmission, 6 the six-cylinder series, the last digits the hp class – 6140 about 140 hp, 6160 160 hp, 6195 195 hp, 6210 about 210 hp with power boost – Profi and Multi are the smaller Steyr ranges with powershift. The engine in all models is the FPT NEF six-cylinder of 6.7 litres at 2,100 to 2,200 rpm, with SCR exhaust aftertreatment and approval for biodiesel, as the register notes; the CVT shares cab, front-axle suspension and operating concept with the Case IH Puma CVX from the same plant.
