The TSA-Baureihe series covers 5 models. Rated output within it ranges from 100 to 136 hp; the TSA 110 sits in the middle of that range with 116 hp. Its immediate neighbours are the TSA 100 below it with 100 hp and the TSA 125 above it with 125 hp. Unladen weight within it ranges from 5,080 to 5,548 kg; here the TSA 110 sits at the top of that range with 5,480 kg. 84 Case New Holland models across 17 series are on record.

New Holland TS-A (2003–2007) – the mid-range from Basildon between TL-A and TM: TSA 100 to TSA 135, the number as hp class, NEF four- and six-cylinders of 4.5 and 6.7 litres, Dual, Range and Electro Command, 74 to 100 kW

The TS-A was New Holland's mid-range of 100 to 135 hp – introduced in 2003 as successor to the TS, built in Basildon, England, the former Ford tractor plant, and replaced in 2007 by the T6000, which largely took over its technology. The type logic: TS marks the range, A the generation with the new engines, the number the hp class – TSA 100 about 100 hp, TSA 110 about 110, TSA 115 about 115, TSA 125 about 125, TSA 135 about 135 hp. The engines are FPT's NEF range: the four-cylinder of 4.5 litres in the TSA 100 and 110, the six-cylinder of 6.7 litres in the TSA 115, 125 and 135, at 2,200 rpm with common-rail injection and power boost; the transmissions were called Dual Command with powershift step, Range Command with semi-powershift and Electro Command with full powershift, the equipment lines Delta, Plus and Elite.

The register lists 5 versions with 73.5 to 100 kW from four- and six-cylinders of 4,485 to 6,728 cm³, torque from 438 to 553 Nm, unladen weights from 5,080 to 5,548 kg, lengths from 4,265 to 4,505 mm, widths from 2,340 to 2,430 mm and heights from 2,860 to 2,960 mm.

The TS-A was the tractor of arable and mixed farms in Britain, France and Germany that competed with the John Deere 6020, Massey Ferguson 6400 and Fendt 400; its successor T6000 carried the range on until 2012.

On used tractors, operating hours, engine and common-rail injection, transmission by type (powershift clutches on Range and Electro Command), hydraulics and electronics, cab, loader mounting count; parts run through CNH and are widely available.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
