New Holland T6000 Plus (2007–2012) – the middle equipment line of the T6000 range from Basildon: T6010 to T6070 Plus, the number as power step, Range Command and power boost

Plus was the middle of the three equipment lines in which New Holland offered the T6000 range from 2007 to 2012 – between Delta with mechanical transmission and Elite with full specification the version with Range Command semi-powershift, engine power boost, electronic linkage control and mechanically suspended cab, built in Basildon, England. The type logic: T marks the tractor ranges of the blue programme, 6 the mid-range series, the following digits the power step – T6010 about 101 hp and T6020 about 112 hp with four-cylinder, T6030 117 hp, T6050 125 hp and T6070 141 hp with six-cylinder – Plus the line. The engines are FPT's NEF range: the four-cylinder of 4.5 litres in the T6010 and T6020, the six-cylinder of 6.7 litres in the others, at 2,200 rpm, with common-rail injection and power boost for PTO and transport work, which the register notes with diesel and biodiesel as fuel.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
