At a length of 11,480 mm and a width of 2,550 mm, it already weighs 5,620 kg unladen and can carry only 580 kg more, just under ten per cent of its gross weight. Such a low payload ratio is typical of travel trailers: furniture, fittings, tanks and insulation make up most of the weight, leaving little reserve for luggage, water and equipment. The 7,520 mm wheelbase over a length of more than eleven metres shows the long body typical of these vehicles, with the axle group set well to the rear.

Coupling by a kingpin on a hitch in the truck bed, rather than a conventional tow hitch, is a design common in North America and rare in Europe; it places part of the weight directly over the tow vehicle's rear axle. With a gross weight of 6,200 kg, the Cameo falls into EU class O3 and runs with an air-brake system.

On a used travel trailer of this type, what counts above all is moisture damage to the roof, windows and through-fittings, the condition of the floor and walls for soft spots, the function of fittings such as water tanks, heating and electrics, the condition of the axles and brakes, and – with the kingpin coupling – wear on the pin and its socket. On a vehicle imported from North America, it is also worth checking the compatibility of connections and standards with European approval.
