The Sampo 2020 is powered by a Valmet diesel engine rated at 79 hp, or 59 kW. That is a moderate power class, typical of combines working smaller and medium-sized fields rather than large arable operations with wide expanses of crop.
Combines in this power class usually run a conventional tangential threshing drum with straw walkers separating grain from straw.
