This page gathers the Steyr-Puch vehicles the register could not assign to a named range – and so shows three chapters of the Graz maker Steyr-Daimler-Puch: the Haflinger, presented in 1959 as an extremely light off-roader with an air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine and used by the Austrian armed forces and mountain rescue; the Pinzgauer, built from 1971 as the four-wheel 710 and six-wheel 712 with portal axles for the military and rescue services; and the Puch G, which Steyr-Daimler-Puch developed jointly with Mercedes-Benz from 1979 and built in Graz – the same range sold outside Austria and Switzerland as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. On the G types, G stands for off-roader, E for the petrol engine with injection and D for the diesel, the number before them for the displacement in tenths of a litre, so 230 GE is a two-litre injected petrol and 300 GD a three-litre diesel.

On used examples, frame and brake condition and parts supply through specialists count on the Haflinger, portal axles, seals and military or civilian origin on the Pinzgauer, and rust on sills and wheel arches, the transfer case, the diff locks and, on diesels, the injection pump on the Puch G and G-Class; all three ranges are regarded as mechanically robust and long-lived.
