Trailer-mounted concrete pumps such as the BSA range complement self-propelled pumps on site where no mixer-truck chassis is needed, while the screed pumps and plastering machines serve finishing trades for screed and render work. Such trailer-mounted pumps are used on cramped inner-city sites and for smaller pours, where a truck-mounted pump would be uneconomical.

When buying used, check the pumping unit, wear parts such as the S-pipe and delivery cylinders, and the hydraulics, the condition of the boom on mast-equipped versions, the frame and axles for rust, and the brake system. On the concrete pumps also check the condition of the agitator and hopper and a current pressure test of the delivery line, on the plastering machines the condition of the mixing shaft and drive motor; spare and wear parts are supplied through Putzmeister's own factory service.
