Fautras is a French manufacturer of horseboxes (vans), founded in 1992 by Marie-Noëlle and Jean-Luc Fautras in the Périgord (Dordogne); both had earlier family ties to the horse trade and the import of British horseboxes. In 1994 the company launched the Trivan, its first three- and four-horse van with diagonal loading, followed in 1997 by the Pro & Sport range under the name Podium, and a year later it patented a progressively rising floor.
