Agrifull narrow-track series (1980s) – the orchard and vineyard tractors of the Fiat subsidiary from Modena: 50 V to 80-70 F, the number as hp class, V for vineyard, F for orchard, DT for four-wheel drive

Agrifull was the brand under which Fiat sold specialist and compact tractors in the 1980s from the plant of the former Toselli company in Modena – a second line alongside the Fiat tractors from Turin, with which the group served viticulture, fruit growing and nurseries before Fiatagri united everything under one name from 1990. The type logic follows Fiat: the number gives the hp class – 50 V about 50 hp, 60 F 60 hp, 80-60 F and 80-70 F the models of the 80 range with 60 and 70 hp – V the vineyard version about one metre wide, F the orchard version (frutteto) with slightly wider track and low bonnet, DT four-wheel drive (doppia trazione), Sprint an equipment variant. The engines are Fiat's three- and four-cylinder diesels of 2.3 to 3.6 litres at 2,500 to 2,600 rpm.

The register lists 7 versions with 33.1 to 51.5 kW from three- and four-cylinders of 2,339 to 3,613 cm³, torque from 149 to 219 Nm, unladen weights from 1,400 to 2,230 kg, lengths from 3,200 to 3,600 mm, widths from 1,000 to 1,540 mm and heights from 1,165 to 2,029 mm.

The Agrifull narrow-track models are the forerunners of the New Holland TN-V/F and T4 V/N/F ranges from Jesi; in Italy, Spain and France they are still at work in vineyards today.

On used tractors, operating hours, clutch and shuttle, four-wheel-drive clutch on DT models, steering and track width, PTO and hydraulics for sprayer and mulcher count; parts run through New Holland for the Fiat engines and through specialists for the machine.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
