The XZ range represents the lower power segment of the Chinese tractor market, in demand both within China and in export markets across South and Southeast Asia, Africa and eastern Europe for small farms and simple field work. Unlike the big Chinese brands YTO or Dongfeng, Xing Zhou operates mostly regionally and through local importers, without a dense international service network. These small tractors typically combine a simple mechanical gearbox with a basic three-point linkage, aimed at buyers for whom low purchase and running costs outweigh comfort features.

On used examples of these simply built small tractors, the condition of the clutch and mechanical gearbox, the tightness of the diesel engine, rust on bodywork and running gear, and the availability of parts outside China, which varies greatly between markets, count; parts run through importers and independent farm-machinery dealers, and where no distribution partner exists sometimes only through replicas of common wear parts.
