Vema Other models

The register lists here 46 versions with unladen weights from 270 to 3,295 kg, gross weights from 850 to 3,500 kg and widths from 1,400 to 2,480 mm.

The span from under 300 kg to just over 3 tonnes unladen weight covers both small trailers for garden waste and motorcycles and larger tandem-axle trailers for commercial transport, as are common in the Dutch trailer market. As with many small-series Dutch makers, the company name and the spelling on the data plates changed several times over the decades.

On used examples, rust on frame, drawbar and stub axles, the condition of the side panels, the function of the overrun brake and handbrake, tyre age and the tightness of the lighting system count; given the many spelling variants it is worth matching the data plate against the registration document before ordering parts. On the older AG and D types it is also worth checking the coupling itself, since on the smaller Vema models it was often retrofitted.
