Trailers of this weight class cover the private transport of motorcycles, garden equipment and smaller boats; the modest number of models combined with fine gradations in length and width points to a range tailored to individual uses rather than broad series production. For buyers, the small number of models also means a manageable selection in which the right build size can usually be worked out quickly from length and gross weight.
When buying used, what counts is corrosion on the axle and frame, the condition of the wheel bearings and tyres, and the function of the lighting system and coupling; on the wider versions, also the condition of the side panels. Spare parts for axles, wheels and lighting are available through the general small trailer accessory trade.
