Variant A/s Other models

This page gathers the Variant A/S trailers the register could not assign to a named range. Variant A/S is a Danish trailer maker – the company form "A/S" (Aktieselskab) corresponds to a German or British public limited company. The model line-up follows a four-digit numeric code followed by a letter and a further digit, such as 2017C3 or 3518B4; the four-digit number most likely encodes length and payload class, the letter the body type – clues from the model names suggest combinations such as C for a chassis or box version, F for a flatbed, K for a tipper and B for a boat trailer, with T possibly indicating a tandem-axle chassis – and the final digit the axle count. A reliable reading consistent across the whole line-up cannot, however, be derived from the names in the register alone.
