This page gathers trailers from the Finnish brand VAK that the register could not assign to a named series. One model is simply named PERÄVAUNU, the Finnish word for trailer. The remaining type designations follow a pattern of a letter code - D, PV or V - and two number groups marking the axle count and tonnage of the respective version, as in V-5-40 or PV-2-33. Finland's sparsely populated territory, with long transport routes between forests, construction sites and ports, shapes the demand for sturdy multi-axle trailers.

When buying a used VAK trailer, depending on the size class, check the axles and braking system, rust on the chassis and load floor, and on the heavy low-loaders also the ramps, hydraulics and the function of ABS/EBS. Spare parts are available through the Finnish and Scandinavian trailer parts trade.
