Tabbert is one of Germany's long-established caravan makers and positioned ranges such as Comtesse and Baroness in the upper mid-range and upper segment, while the plain type numbers marked the simpler versions; competition came from Hobby, Knaus and Dethleffs, which competed for customers in the same market segment.
Buying used, check above all for damp in walls, roof and floor, the condition of window and door seals, and the function of the gas system, heating and leisure battery; on the chassis check the axle, overrun brake and corner steadies. Parts for the body come from specialist caravan suppliers, and axle and chassis parts from the general trailer parts trade.
