With lengths of over six metres at a comparatively low unladen weight, these are elongated trailers of the kind used for carrying boats, bar stock or bulky loads behind vans and larger cars, where the long wheelbase helps stability at speed.

When buying used, check the long chassis for distortion and rust, especially at the welds of the longitudinal members, the axle and wheel bearings for play, the brake system for function, and the lighting along the full length for damage. Spare parts for the axle, coupling and brake on Sunway trailers, as with comparable smaller builders, come from the general trailer-accessories trade. It is also worth checking the tyres and rims for age, tread depth and load rating, the spare wheel or repair kit and on-board tools, and that the chassis number, type plate and vehicle documents all match.
