The T93 extends the bonneted range into the mid power class with a nine-litre six-cylinder engine; the designation M 4X2 denotes the mid-level cab specification with two-axle drive. The variants T93 H 4X2 ZL 75115 E, T93 M 4X2 AL 75115 E, T93 M 4X2 ZL 63110 E, T93 M 4X2 ZL 65115 E and T93 M 4X2 ZS 65115 E show different body and axle-load combinations within the same base engine.

As the lighter bonneted variant, the T93 sat between the heavy V8 T142 and T143H models and the unclassed two-axle distribution trucks, and was used where the bonneted layout was wanted but the full power of a V8 was not needed. The shorter wheelbases of the two-axle versions also made the T93 more manoeuvrable than the heavier bonneted models.
When buying these lighter bonneted trucks, check the front axle and steering, the seal of the radiator ahead of the bonnet, and wear on the clutch and gearbox; parts for the nine-litre six-cylinder engine are carried by specialist Scania parts dealers, and the bonnet's hinges and catches are worth a look as well, especially on examples that saw daily distribution-style use.
