SAFEC Other models

The register lists here 26 versions with unladen weights from 250 to 1,030 kg, gross vehicle weights from 999 to 2,000 kg and widths from 1,720 to 2,200 mm.

The type numbers from 1300 to 2000 reflect the permitted payload in kilograms and order the range from light single-axle trailers to models close to the two-tonne mark; suffixes such as KB for box bodies or VV for open versions extend the line with different body styles on the same chassis. Trailers of this size served tradesmen, market traders and agricultural users alike as transport for tools, goods or small machines, with the open versions typically built as flatbeds and the box versions as weatherproof cargo carriers.

Buying used, check the condition of frame and load floor, axle, suspension and overrun brake, and the lighting system; on box versions also check the roof and doors for tightness and any signs of damp inside. Parts for axle, lighting and coupling come from the general trailer parts trade, while marque-specific body parts can be only partly available depending on the model year.
