At 5,470 mm long and 2,200 mm wide, the 3500TT has an unladen weight of 3,170 kg, giving a payload of only around 330 kg. Such a small payload against a high unladen weight is not unusual for a fixed, sturdy build such as a solid tipper body, since the construction itself already takes up most of the permitted weight.

In class O2, a category B licence is enough in most European countries, provided the combined train weight stays under the local limit. The 3,850 mm wheelbase on four wheels gives manoeuvrability even over short distances, typical of everyday farm or municipal use.

Class O2 trailers like the 3500TT are connected to the towing vehicle through a ball coupling and often run on rubber-torsion axles, which need less maintenance than leaf springs; on permanently built tippers, the permitted nose weight on the coupling should also be watched so as not to overload the towing vehicle's rear axle.

When buying used, check the tipping mechanism for tightness and smooth action, inspect the overrun coupling for wear, and check the chassis for rust and cracks around the heavily loaded body parts. Any hydraulic hoses fitted should also be checked for leaks.
