The Opel Frontera B was the brand's mid-size SUV from 1998 to 2004; the Van version listed here was a variant offered specifically for N1 commercial registration, with the rear side windows blanked, as was common for SUVs used as vans in several European countries. The Y2.2DTH and Y3.2NE designations denote the 2.2-litre common-rail turbodiesel and the 3.2-litre V6 petrol engine respectively.

As a Van version, the Frontera B targeted commercial users who wanted to combine an SUV's off-road ability and payload with a commercial vehicle's tax advantages. The Frontera B shared its engineering with the Isuzu Wizard, as Opel developed the model in cooperation with Isuzu. The Frontera B was built at the IBC Vehicles plant in Luton, England, a joint venture between GM and Isuzu.
On the Y2.2DTH turbodiesel a used-buying check should cover the turbocharger, injection pump and timing belt, on the Y3.2NE V6 petrol the timing chain, and on all versions rust on the ladder frame and the condition of the transfer case and four-wheel-drive system. Spare parts are available on the aftermarket for Opel and Isuzu models.
