OM Tractors – Officine Meccaniche Between Brescia and Fiat
Officine Meccaniche (OM), originally founded in Milan, took over the Zust firm in Brescia, which in the 1920s produced engines, trucks and machine tools. From the 1930s, OM was controlled by Fiat. In 1968, OM introduced the 750 tractor, the largest in the range until the 850 and 900 models arrived in 1969. The 850 was the last tractor sold under the OM brand in 1969, and was considered more compact and lighter than comparably powerful rivals of its time, offering technology and driving comfort that were modern for the era. In 1975, OM was fully absorbed into the Fiat group. Listed in the register: 750 DT, 850.
