650 K by Nek: EU class O2 trailer with a gross vehicle weight of 3,500 kg, a length of 7,950 mm and an unladen weight of 1,800 kg
With a gross vehicle weight of 3,500 kg, the 650 K reaches exactly the upper limit of EU trailer class O2, the light trailers still permitted to use an overrun brake instead of air brakes. It ranks among the heaviest trailers without their own air brake system, needing no towing vehicle equipped with matching brake gear.

At a length of 7,950 mm and a width of 2,550 mm, the 650 K has an unladen weight of 1,800 kg, giving a payload of 1,700 kg, almost half of the gross vehicle weight. For its length, the trailer is therefore relatively lightly built, pointing to a design for general cargo rather than heavy goods.
O2 trailers can be towed on driving licence category BE, as long as the gross combination weight of towing vehicle and trailer stays within the limits of that category, a real constraint for many passenger cars. The overrun brake works without its own air supply and is triggered mechanically through the drawbar as the towing vehicle brakes, entirely without electronic assistance.
When buying a used trailer with an overrun brake, the overrun mechanism itself belongs on the checklist: smooth operation, the return spring, and the condition of the breakaway cable for emergency braking. Also check the drawbar, bearing play on the axle, tyre condition, the frame for rust, and the tightness of the brake lines.
