Master Trailer Other models

3 models in this series

Master Trailer – other models: the collective page of trailers outside the named ranges GB 1100, GP 500 COMBI and GP500, 660 to 1,050 kg unladen weight, 1,500 to 3,500 kg gross weight

This page gathers the Master Trailer units the register could not assign to a named range. The three listed types carry the designations GB 1100, GP 500 COMBI and GP500. As with many smaller trailer brands, the figures are drawn from registration data, in which each model is listed individually with its technical values.

The register lists here 3 versions with unladen weights of 660 to 1,050 kg, gross weights of 1,500 to 3,500 kg, lengths of 6,500 to 10,310 mm and widths of 2,150 to 2,460 mm.

With gross weights of 1.5 to 3.5 tonnes, all three versions fall into the braked trailer class towed behind vans and stronger cars; lengths of up to over 10 metres point to elongated bodies, for instance for carrying boats, machinery or long goods. For registration, besides the trailer's gross weight, the tow vehicle's rated towing capacity is also decisive.

On a used example, axle and wheel-bearing condition, the function of the overrun brake and its linkage, rust on frame and drawbar, and the state of lighting, plug, tyres and rims all count. Parts for such a small brand usually run through independent trailer workshops rather than a manufacturer network; on the longer versions, checking the frame's torsional stiffness and the condition of the jockey wheels is also worthwhile. It is also worth comparing the VIN and the registration document against the trailer's data plate.
