Ligthart Other models

The register lists here 104 versions with unladen weights from 480 to 33,500 kg, gross weights from 1,300 to 48,000 kg, lengths from 5,550 to 14,040 mm and widths from 1,710 to 2,600 mm.

The wide span from light trailers to heavy semi-trailers reflects Ligthart's niche strategy, which unlike the big series makers Krone or Schmitz Cargobull relies heavily on one-off and small-series builds for recovery services, special transport and construction site work.

When buying used, on the light trailers what matters is the condition of the axle, lighting and coupling; on the heavy semi-trailers, corrosion on the frame and side members, the condition of the air suspension, the braking system (usually EBS), and on low-loaders the condition of the ramps and hydraulics. Spare parts for common axle and brake components are available through the general trailer parts trade, works-specific parts directly from Ligthart.
