Kribas – other models: the collective page of trailers outside the named ranges, types A-2000 to HG-2000, 1,000 to 2,000 kg gross weight

This page gathers the Kribas trailers that the register could not assign to a named range, including the types A-2000, H-2000 and the HG series from HG 1000 to HG-2000, as well as the type AKR 10/87. The four-digit number in the type designations 1000 and 2000 states the gross weight in kilograms in each case, so the load capacity can be read directly from the model name. The A, H and HG ranges each carry their own numbering, in which the final digits reflect the gross weight.

The register lists here 7 versions with unladen weights of 270 to 640 kg, gross weights of 1,000 to 2,000 kg and widths of 1,540 to 2,200 mm.

With gross weights up to 2,000 kg, the Kribas trailers belong to the lower to mid category O2 range and can be towed on a standard category B car licence, as long as the combination of towing vehicle and trailer does not exceed 3.5 t. The spread from light, narrow types to wider twin-axle versions covers both the transport of smaller loads and bulkier goods. Trailers of this size are typically used in landscaping and groundwork, by trade businesses, and privately for loads beyond the capacity of an estate car or pickup.

On a used trailer of this weight class, check the condition of the overrun brake and coupling head, axles, wheel bearings and tyres, the load bed and side panels, and corrosion on the frame and cross members. It is also worth checking the lighting and the cable duct at the coupling, where damp often gets in. Spare parts for trailers of this size are available through the general trailer trade.
