Kmar PPV3-24: a heavy EU class O4 trailer with a 42,000 kg gross weight, 13.50 m overall length and a payload of around 35,550 kg
With a gross weight of 42,000 kg, the PPV3-24 is among the heaviest vehicles in EU trailer class O4, well above the 10-tonne threshold that marks this class on its own. At 13.50 m long and 2.60 m wide, it sits near the upper limit of dimensions permitted for road vehicles and counts as heavy haulage in the fullest sense of the term.

At a kerb weight of 6,450 kg, the payload works out to 35,550 kg, more than five times the trailer's own weight. Such a ratio can only be achieved with a correspondingly strong, multi-axle group of the kind typical for bulk goods, building materials or large machine parts in long-distance haulage.
Class O4 makes compressed-air braking the standard, and at a gross weight of 42 tonnes the towing vehicle must be correspondingly powerful and approved for the full trailer weight. Trailers of this scale are used almost exclusively in professional long-haul or heavy building-material transport, not in private use.
When buying a trailer this heavy used, the condition of the frame under full load matters most: deflection, cracked welds and corrosion on load-bearing struts should be checked carefully. All brake cylinders, air tanks and the condition of the tyres, which carry a particularly heavy strain at this weight, are equally important and should not be skipped during an inspection.
