JV-Trailer Other models

The register lists 39 versions here with a kerb weight of 120 to 370 kg and a gross weight of 525 to 850 kg, at lengths of 2,500 to 6,950 mm and widths of 1,650 to 2,200 mm.

Trailers of this size and weight class serve as car trailers for cargo, motorcycles, small boats or building-site use, towed on a standard category B licence. The wide spread of length, from 2.5 m to nearly 7 m at an almost constant gross weight, shows that both compact box trailers and long platform and boat trailers are listed under the same range.

Buying a used JV-Trailer means checking the condition of the load bed, side panels and frame welds, plus wheel bearings, tyre age and the operation of the overrun brake and its handbrake lever. On the longer versions it is also worth checking the frame for flex and, on boat trailers, the rollers or skids, and on versions with drop-down side panels the hinges and catches. Parts for axles, couplings and lighting are available through the general trailer accessory trade.
