JOY Other models

The register lists here 63 versions with unladen weights from 150 to 365 kg, a gross weight of 750 kg, lengths from 2,100 to 7,470 mm and widths from 1,600 to 2,190 mm.

As small class O1 trailers, the Joy models stay under the 750 kg limit, which in many countries means eased licensing rules; the huge length range from just over two to almost seven and a half metres at an unchanging gross weight shows a broad line-up, from a compact trailer to a long boat or long-load transporter.

Buying one of these very light trailers used, the condition of the axle and wheels matters most, since at such low gross weights smaller and cheaper components were often fitted and need closer checking. Also check the condition of the drawbar and coupling, rust on the load floor, the lighting function and, on the long versions, the stiffness of the frame extension; as the type names are plain dimension codes, the type plate with the chassis number is the most reliable way to identify a trailer.
