The register lists 26 versions with unladen weights from 150 to 750 kg and gross weights from 500 to 825 kg. Lengths range from 2,700 to 5,700 mm and widths from 1,300 to 1,800 mm, from compact chassis units to longer versions with a loading platform for cut firewood.

Chassis-mounted firewood machines such as Japa's serve forestry operations, contractors and private firewood producers who tow the machine directly to the work site in the forest or at home. Registration as a light trailer allows towing behind a car or tractor without additional trailer approval.

When buying used, check the condition of the saw blades and splitting knives, the hydraulic system for leaks, drivetrain wear, and on the chassis itself, corrosion on the frame, the condition of the overrun brake and tyre load capacity. Spare parts for the working components are available through the Finnish service network.
