Buying one of these low-bed semi-trailers used, the condition of the frame and low deck for cracks and rust, the function of the axles and braking system, the wear of the loading ramps, and the kingpin and air suspension all matter. A valid axle inspection, the condition of the tyres and, on hydraulically lowering versions, the tightness of the hydraulic system are also part of the check before taking it over.
