The low unladen weight at gross weights up to 2,500 kg shows a light frame construction built for high payload, typical of car transporters with a long, low load bed. With gross weights up to 2,500 kg, the programme sits in class O2 and can thus be towed on a standard BE licence; the ratio of unladen to gross weight allows payloads well over a tonne, enough for a small car or a motorcycle.

Buying used, on car transporters check especially the condition and load capacity of the ramps, the condition of the lashing points and straps, the function of the axle and overrun brake, and the tyres and lighting along the full load bed. Parts for axles, brakes and lighting run through the general trailer parts trade; on the long, low load bed it is also worth checking the floor plates for corrosion and the ground clearance at the ramp transitions on level ground.
