The register lists five variants here with an engine output of 60 kW from four-cylinder engines of 1,480 to 1,905 cm³ displacement, kerb weights from 1,020 to 1,190 kg, gross vehicle weights from 1,540 to 2,295 kg, a length of 4,450 mm and widths from 1,630 to 1,640 mm.

The 125p pick-up and the Polonez van served in Poland and other Eastern Bloc countries as affordable commercial vehicles for trades, agriculture and smaller haulage firms, at a time when Western imports were hard to come by; the mechanicals were based throughout on Fiat designs of the 1960s and were kept deliberately simple to allow servicing with limited resources.

When buying one of these vehicles, rust on the body and load bed, the condition of the simple but sturdy four-cylinder engine, and the brakes and suspension matter most; parts are available thanks to the active Polish classic car scene and specialist dealers in FSO and Polski Fiat models, making these vehicles easier to keep running than many other Eastern European classics.
