The register lists six versions with unladen weights from 3,620 to 6,320 kg, gross weights from 13,200 to 20,000 kg, lengths from 8,240 to 9,000 mm and widths from 2,550 to 2,600 mm.

With payloads up to around 16 tonnes and lengths around 9 metres, the ANCR range belongs among the classic semi-trailers of European road haulage that shaped general cargo and long-haul transport for decades, before standard box semi-trailers and curtainsiders largely replaced this design.

When buying a used example of this age, what matters is the condition of the frame and kingpin, the function of the brakes, corrosion on the chassis rails and load floor, and the state of the axles and tyres. Parts for historic Fruehauf semi-trailers are barely available through regular trade, so restorations usually rely on common axle and brake components and on vintage commercial vehicle specialists. It is also worth checking the paint history and any signs of earlier bodywork repairs.
