When buying one of these large trailers used, check the chassis and axles for wear from often long static loading, the brake system and its condition after extended standing periods, the roof and walls for moisture damage, and the interior fit-out including electrical and, where fitted, sanitary installations. Parts for the chassis and axles come from the general commercial-vehicle trade, while custom interior work often requires skilled tradespeople. The registration papers and the validity of the roadworthiness inspection are also worth checking before purchase.
