Flamingo – further models: the collection page for light boat trailers outside the named series, 1,200 to 2,700 kg gross vehicle weight, 250 to 730 kg unladen weight
This page collects the Flamingo trailers that the register could not assign to a named series. These are light trailers for boats and smaller loads, whose type designations such as EE, GG, VX, WX, X and ZX carry various numerical suffixes; the letters K and L at the end of the type designation mark further equipment variants of the respective base types. The many type families on this collection page reflect a long model history made up of numerous small changes.

The register lists 35 versions here with unladen weights from 250 to 730 kg, gross vehicle weights from 1,200 to 2,700 kg and widths from 1,570 to 2,500 mm.
Trailers of this weight class are used mainly to carry boats, jet skis and smaller machinery and can be towed on a standard car licence; they compete with a large number of smaller boat and general-purpose trailer builders. The narrowest versions at around 1.57 m suit smaller boats and dinghies, while the wider types suit motorboats with a broader hull.
Buying used, check the frame and skids for corrosion, especially on boat trailers due to contact with water, plus the condition of rollers or slide bunks and the winch. Also check the overrun brake mechanism and its linings, wheel bearings and lighting, which is particularly exposed to wear from frequent water contact. On versions with a submersible frame, also check how freely the axle turns and the condition of the hubs after greasing.
