Erde – further models: the collective page for French small trailers beyond the named series, including Daxara, kerb weights 248 to 330 kg, gross weights up to 1,500 kg

This page gathers the Erde trailers that the register could not assign to any named series. Erde comes from France and builds light small trailers designed for towing behind cars; the sister brand Daxara also appears among the models covered here. Some model designations consist only of numeric codes such as 236100 or 237-F1000, of the kind assigned to a given version in registration paperwork.

The register lists 6 versions here with kerb weights from 248 to 330 kg, gross vehicle weights from 1,000 to 1,500 kg, a length of 3,480 mm and widths from 1,750 to 2,220 mm.

Such light trailers are mainly used for private transport of garden waste, bulky items, bicycles or small equipment, and because of their low kerb weight they can be towed by most cars without a special higher-class towing entitlement. Within the EU, trailers of this kind can generally also be used across borders after their national first registration and re-registered in another member state.

When buying used, what counts most with these small trailers is corrosion on the frame and side panels, the condition of the plastic tub or loading deck, the function of the tipping mechanism and catches, the condition of axle, tyres and lighting, and a secure fit of the tow coupling. Complete vehicle papers make re-registration easier after a sale, and the real age can often be read from the tyres' date-of-manufacture code.
