The programme thus covers both private transport needs and more demanding commercial uses, without crossing into class O3.

Buying used, check the condition of the axle and overrun brake, rust on the frame and drawbar, the function of the lighting system, and the tyres and hitch; on the heavier VK versions also the condition of the side panels and lashing points. Parts for axles, brakes and lighting run through the general trailer parts trade; on the lighter models it is also worth checking for prior damage from overloading.
